Trauma has a way of wreaking havoc, a way of altering a person and changing their perspective. Life is never the same. Mine isn’t. The time that follows the difficulty, the circumstance, is tough, to say the least. But God, He redeems, He restores, He heals, He empowers us to get through all the anguish, all the pain. He strengthens us in ways we didn’t think possible. Be encouraged by stories of women who endured great hardships and found that God did immeasurably more than anything they could have imagined.
Learn to let God do beyond anything you can ask or think, no matter what your circumstances.
Key word, learn. Our natural response to a trial is to fret. Leaning heavy on our own understanding we tend to problem solve, create scenarios, and take matters into our own hands, at least I do. The weight of a trial can be challenging, leaving us weary and defeated. We want relief, and fast. Naturally! Who wouldn’t? Remaining in a trial for the long haul isn’t appealing to anyone. But what about God’s work? What is it that he could possibly do in our lives through difficulties?
